FUNDS RECEIVED: 

$100,000 Massachusetts State Funds - Governor Baker appropriated into the budget the amount of $100,000 to be directed towards the Town of Ludlow sports complex renovation project.  This was made possible by contact from the committee to Senator Eric Lesser.  These funds need to be utilized before the end of June 2020.  Engineering costs and fees will be covered under these funds. 

$75,000 Town of Ludlow - Voted and approved by the Board of Selectmen.  Initially use of funds was for engineering costs and fees however, the state funding has a usage date (June 2020). Therefore, state funding will precede town funds usage. 

$50,000 Ana Dias Foundation - $20,000 this year and $10,000 for the next three (3) years. 

$10,000 - LDAA - Lions Den Athletic Association 

TOTAL:   $235,000.00

ADDITIONAL FUNDING AND FUNDRAISING EFFORTS: 

Our committee has contacted several community businesses and organizations regarding donations towards this project.  We are in the planning stages for upcoming events such as a 5K in conjunction with the LDAA to raise additional funds for this project.

Many individuals, businesses and organizations have expressed their interest in contributing to this cause however, without a definitive plan in place (town vote and Town Meeting approval) there has been some hesitation.  

Many do not want to commit funds to a project that does not have a specific start date.  It is our hope that if the project passes both the vote and town meeting that our efforts to fundraise will increase. 

CONFIRMED: 

Approval by the Board of Selectmen to move this to the June 1st ballot. 

By participating in this community-based project you will help in the creation of a state-of-the-art sports and recreation facility that will be enjoyed by our student athletes, youth sports groups and the residents of our Ludlow community for years to come.  There are several opportunities to become involved.  Please reach out to us!
